Froze my a$$ off!

The title just about sums up how my Halloween went! Kidlet & I dressed up as 80′s girls complete with neon clothes, leg warmers, t-shirt clips, neon everything and blue eyeshadow up to our eye brows. We went to Kat’s parents house around 5 for a dinner of pizza and then headed out.

No lie as soon as we walked out of the complex just about it started hailing. Then it changed to rain and honestly we were all soaking and couldn’t feel our hands or feet. This really reminded me of trick or treating when I was a kid because of the nasty weather. Usually it was either raining or snowing when I went. I think I got totally spoiled the last few years because it was usually warm enough to not need a coat at all maybe a light sweater at the most.

Kidlet was ready to give up after 15 minutes. I was ready to take the kids to the store and just raid the bulk candy aisle. Kidlet and I headed back to my Aunt & Uncles house and there we had cider & some yummy ass pumpkin doughnuts. My Aunt even made a HUGE graveyard out of snacks which included 3 cake houses, a haunted gingerbread house, hand chocolate frosted twinkies for graves, graham cracker headstones & even more yummyness!

We were home before 8 and I was nice & warm in my jammies by 8:30. No, I don’t play when I am freezing lol. And, I actually got off the phone with the boy early and was knocked the fuck out by 9:30. But, that didn’t mean that I was anymore thrilled about having to get up to go to work this morning :lol: .

I hate winter!

I swear that we just keep getting dumped on by snow .. and there is no end in sight! We are supposed to get another 4 to 10 inches of snow today. It is pretty sad that today is only January 5th and I am sick of the snow and winter in general already considering that it didn’t start snowing and having ground accumulation until the middle of December. In this part of NY it starts snowing as early as October and can continue until May some years. I am sick of wearing 3 layers of clothes just to go to work. I swear it takes me 30 minutes at the end of my shift to get bundled up not to mention trying to walk on the sidewalks which the city has so kindly NOT plowed ugh!

Anyway, I am sitting here in my favorite chair covered in my fleece blanket with a space heater going and trying to stay awake long enough to let the cable company people in & out. I had to be up at 5:30 to get myself up then, Kidlet up dressed fed & off to school. I also managed to get the dishes washed and my laundry put away along with a pot of coffee made. I really think that’s the end of my domesticity for the day. I’m not doing a damn thing else till I have to layer up to head out to work … as my boss would say “Fuck the dumb shit!!!”

Awake at 4am WHY?

So I apparently was so tired that I passed out on my couch while watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory which would have been lovely if I hadn’t passed out half sprawled on the couch with one leg on it and the other foot on the floor and managed to get taco neck while I was at it lol.

I think I woke up because it was so very hot inside. Even with most of the windows open it is 80 degrees in my apartment. But, it is only 70 with a slight breeze outside so my ass is parked on my front porch at the moment. It is supposed to be around 90 today & very humid & muggy .. I think that I am going to freaking melt without an air conditioner and just two small fans. If it gets as bad as they say I will probably call SBD and beg him to bring over and install the air conditioner that he offered me a few weeks ago (that I politely declined like a MORON!).

Kidlet is home (well she spent the night at Kdawg’s & SBH’s which is just like being home) so I figure before it gets too hot we can play in the kiddie pool and use the hose .. maybe I will even slap on some baby oil and try to get a tan on my ghostly self. If I do SBH is going to have a meltdown because I will be doing it in his backyard probably topless. SBH dislikes boobs so I will really traumatize him lmfao!

Anyway, I guess I am going to go and forage for breakfast since I am starving :)

Sleepy Sunday

I am so crazy sleepy this morning. I know I am not usually a morning person but, lemme tell ya today it is definately worse probably because if the heat & humidity.

It was so bad that when I got home from work yesterday I passed out naked face down in bed before 6 pm and didn’t wake up until just about 10pm after missing multiple texts & calls on both phones and even Kdawg pounding on my door like the police. Yup I sleep like the dead sometimes lol.

Today, I am debating taking the bis to my Grandma’s house after work so that I can see her & raid her fridge. But, If it just keeps getting hotter I will be going home to lay down instead. I am hoping (ok so its more like wishful thinking lol) that BD will give me the $25 that he owes me for his half of Kidlet’s cell bill that way, I don’t have to borrow money from SBH to buy milk & bread. But, I’m not gonna hold my breath or anything lol.

HOT HOT HOT!

Today it was over 87 degrees here. When I got up this morning I shut all of the windows to keep the temp down (or atleast try to lol) but, I had the fans running to keep the air flowing. I laid down for my nap around 11 or so and when I got up around 2 the indoor temp was at 73 (10 degrees cooler than it was outside at that point).

After gettibg up I decided that I would go over to Kdawgs house to use the internet and while I was there Kdawgs parents brought back Wendy’s for dinner. I scarfed down a cheeseburger and half of a large fry, Then around 7ish I headed home and the indoor temp was only 77. Not bad considering the time of day & the heat outside.

Kidlet did end up coming home from my Mom’s tonight at Kidlet cooked scarmbled eggs & sausages for our dinner. After that I had to open all the windows since it had cooled off considerably. Right now I am just relazing on the porch hoping to catch a WiFi signal so that I can post this lol.

I need to buy some citronella candles for when I sit out here because I am getting eaten alive by the bugs. I got bitten on either Sunday or Monday night and now the bites look like big nasty bruises.

Ugh tomorrow it is supposed to be at least 87 degrees again, humid with thunderstorms in the afternoon / evening. I really don’t want to be out walking in this heat but, I really don’t have a choice.

Oh! Mom is going to come over in the morning to spend some time with me since I hardly get to see her. It will be interesting … maybe she can keep Kidlet occupied since today was the las day of school and she will be driving me NUTS!
