Tired Means Bullets

So since I am so exhausted I will sum up my day in bullets!

  • I started my day at 3:30am as I woke up for no apparent reason and couldn’t get back to sleep.
  • A house elf ran off with my camera that I needed. (I think that would be my Mom’s boyfriend)
  • I left my winter coat in Kat’s car on Monday … and didn’t realize it until I was getting ready to walk out the door to get Kidlet from school (It was about 45 degrees out).
  • Froze my ass off anytime I was outside because a fleece & a puffy vest aren’t enough for our weather.
  • Had a nice dinner with Kidlet while waiting to go to her concert.
  • Went to said concert and it lasted less than an hour.
  • Parked my ass on the couch after getting home & watched Bones.
  • Am now blogging and then taking myself to bed.

Almost Blew It

NaBloPoMo that is! Today was slightly stressful finding out that I need another Measles shot to enter college so I have to get that done when I go to the doctor on December 1st. Also, my day was spent worrying and trying to find out if Kidlet had the correct clothes for her band concert tomorrow night. I found out after a flurry of text messages she does in fact have the correct clothes. Also, Kidlet has not been able to get in contact with her father all week so he does’t know about the concert tomorrow … I hope he doesn’t get the brilliant idea that he should pick her up early on Thursday instead of Friday since she doesn’t have school that day. But, whatever I can’t really be bothered by what he is gonna do.

I did have enough time to read some smutty historical romance novels on my Nook today. I miss using my Nook! It seems like the internet has taken over all of my free time lately for no apparent reason.

After Kidlet left for Karate around 6:50 took a shower to help me relax, got into my jammies & laid down and was asleep before 8. I just now woke up and if I didn’t get super hot in my sleep I probably would’ve missed posting today all together lol.

Hopefully I will have a more coherent post tomorrow instead of an “oh fuck I had better and hurry up & write before I fail this” kind of post lol.

No School Today!!!!

Today Kidlet was off of school for some district thing so we spent the day just hanging out. I would up at the ass crack of dawn1 while Kidlet snoozed away. I enjoyed that quiet time because that was it until now.

I was the evil mom that made Kidlet finish all her projects for school, put away dishes, put away her laundry & even clean her room. But, honestly she had it all done really quickly so we laid around catching up on season 3 of The Vampire Diaries. We did end up making some yummy cheesy bread2 with the pizza crust mix we had in the pantry, shredded cheese and we made out own garlic butter sauce.

I managed to sneak in some time to seriously clean up my WordPress database and download episodes of House & Criminal Minds that I had not seen from this season yet. Then Kidlet & I made a super lazy dinner of chicken nuggets & french fries for the whole family. After she went off to bed I started the dishwasher3, made myself a cup of Sleepytime Tea and settled in to blog.

I have a bunch of phone calls that I have to make tomorrow including ones to Kidlet’s doctor, Kidlet’s school about cheerleading and my school. I also have to make sure that Kidlet has the correct clothes to wear for her musical concert at school on Thursday. That is completely last minute and not me just procrastinating because she didn’t mention it until oh 5 pm yesterday. I swear the brain of a teenager just might drive me off the deep end one day lol.

I think I am going to go to bed now before I fall asleep with my head on the keyboard & drooling ;) .

School, School, School

So 8th grade is going mostly okay for Kidlet so far … other than no instrument lessons this year (stupid budget cuts!), having to share a regular locker, not getting a regular locker until the 4th day of school, having lockers that won’t open because the mechanisims are all screwed up and I am sure there is more that I am forgetting lol.

Now, as far as me? I have mailed my application, high school transcript, GED transcript and immunization records to a local college for the spring 2012 semester for Business Administration. I already completed my FAFSA & TAP applications and the only thing I have left to do is take my placement test and they aren’t testing until sometime mid October. So, now I am just going to concentrate on studying the Math portion because I am honestly liable to fail. I am the one who took 9th grade Math something like 3 times and failed every time (not including the summer school Math class that I failed lol). I think I am going to have Kidlet tutor me since she knows all the stuff that I need to know.

Anyway, I guess I should start packing my stuff up since I am at Starbucks and I have to go pick up my Kidlet from school in a while.

1st Day Of 8th Grade!

New shoes for 8th grade!

So today was the first day of 8th grade for Kidlet. The getting up at the crack of dawn part actually went ok this morning. I am sure that will change soon though lol. We took a ton of pictures this morning before we dropped her off and I think she was starting to get a little aggravated. But, we dropped her off and then I have been vegetating at Starbucks until I have to pick her up.

I am hoping that her day goes well .. I know I was stressed out for the last 2 weeks because the district sucks and was late sending out students schedules and bus passes. The school, transportation dept., placement dept., and office of parent engagement were all no help and couldn’t give me any information that was helpful. Why any district would mail out schedules & bus passes on Monday when school starts that Friday I have no freaking clue!

I just logged into the districts system that gives parents all sorts of info like grades, assignments, schedules etc and the system doesn’t have Kidlet’s Science, Social Studies or English classes on her schedule but, they were on the paper schedule that I got in the mail UGH!!

I swear this district seriously pisses me off. Anyway I must go think happy thoughts before I go blow up on the district yet again lol.
