Party Like It’s My Birthday!

Ok, so it really was my birthday yesterday and I hate to admit it but, I turned 31 at 4:26 am. I really felt like it was just another day though. I used to look forward to celebrating with friends, getting drunk and getting presents but, as I have gotten older it doesn’t seem so important.

Last week when I was shopping with Kat I purchased a few presents for myself at Old Navy. I got 2 pairs of the Ugg style boots in grey and in black1, and I also found 2 skirts in the clearance section. The first one is a tan / brown light flirty skirt for less than $4. The second one is a denim skirt with big chunky buttons going up the front for just 97 cents2.

Yesterday I got a purple leather tote bag / purse from Kidlet that will be great to use for the few days I actually have to go to school. I also received a cute black wool button up peacoat along with a dozen cupcakes3, and a few cards. I also had dinner with just my Mom & Grandma which was different.

Tonight I think I am supposed to go out to dinner with my BFF Sara & the out to drink but, she didn’t bring up any plans when we were texting last night so we shall see what happens. I have two outfits picked out one for if we go to a club4, and the other that is more adult & sedate if we just do dinner & drinks at a bar.

12 already?

So at the end on last month Kidlet turned 12 .. and I have no idea where the past 12 years went. So the morning of Kidlet’s birthday we went to see Twilight Eclipse with Kat & her daughter where I spend like $25 on a bunch of junk food and we really enjoyed the hell out of the movie.

Then we headed into the mall & Kidlet shopped for her presents, we got lunch, dropped off Kat’s daughter then went the pet store and came home with Paco the hammie :) .

We then all hung out with my Mom and had pizza for dinner & some uber yummy chocolate cake with peanut butter cup ice cream. BD decided for the first time ever that he just HAD to come get Kidlet and take her for her birthday which really pissed me off because Kidlet & I had plan since I took her birthday & the day afterwards so basically he ruined the fun for everyone yet again

Wow, today you are 11 years old .. where has the time gone? Wasn’t it just yesterday you were learning to talk *sigh*. The past year has kind of been a crazy one with us moving & all of your after school stuff. So I will highlight some of the past year.

* Had a HUGE birthday party luau.
* Moved into our first apartment.
* Got your amazing real wood clarinet for Christmas.
* Started to read the Twilight series.
* Got your first slider cellphone.
* Broke your first slider cellphone.
* Made a kick ass birthday card for Uncle Giant (SBD)
* Enjoyed a baseball game with your class.
* The 5th grade.

I know there is more but those are the first ones that stand out. Just remember this year (Which I shall dub the year of the PMS) when your crazy hormonal that I love you … it might seem like I’m a crazy wicked bitch but, I’m really not.

Just Dunno

I really just don’t know what to write about here these days .. my life is so boring usually :/.

Lets see .. Saturday I went to a local festival with K & her family. We watched the parade (as my super white skin fried in the sun) then wandered around the festival for awhile …. until it started pouring cats, dogs & cows that is. We walked home (without any umbrellas or rain gear) and looked like alley cats honestly. K & I had no shoes on as we couldn’t walk in our soaked flip flops without killing ourselves and my retarded ass got rain in my eyes so I started to lose my contacts. (Please picture me walking down the street in a monsoon barefoot and blind … ) I managed to get home in one piece, get dry and head to work. Only when I got to work it started to get extremely windy out … and the temperature dropped almost 30 degrees while I was there so I froze my ass off walking home in just capris, a tanktop & a thin hoodie.

Sunday (Which was Mother’s Day) I got up early and headed to my Mom’s house on the bus bringing eggs & cornbeef hash with me so that I could make her breakfast. BD actually dropped Kidlet off early like I asked him to … really early like 9am. I was uber shocked! Anyway, I made breakfast for the 3 of us and we hung out all afternoon. Kidlet & I got Mom a card for Mother’s Day, a Birthday Card (for Tuesday since we wouldn’t see her) and a tiny windchime with ladybugs on it. In the afternoon my Uncle came and picked the 3 of us up and tooks us to grandma’s house where we did pasta & meatballs (Holy hell no chicken!!!) for dinner and did a cake & presents for my Mom.

Sunday night on 2nd shift my store got robbed again … by the same guy that did it six days previously & back in September. (They didn’t catch the guy for the last two until this morning) I was all freaked out lastnight at work because I found out that this guy is wanted for a rape on one of the streets that I walk down to get home every night. So obviously I have concerns being the only female clerk what if this guy decides to not only rob me but, rape me as well? No, my company has no concerns for my safety but SBD does and if this guy gets out on bail ($5,000 cash) or bond ($15,000) SBD will be sitting at my job with me tomorrow night.

Anyway, I guess I am going to take my ass back to bed (since I woke up after apparently passing out sitting up on the couch yet AGAIN lol).

What have I been doing

So, Friday night I went out with my cousin to celebrate her 29th birthday. We hit up a local BBQ joint for a few drinks and dinner. I had the pulled pork dinner with cornbread, cajun fries with red beans & rice. Kat had the fish fry with smashed garlic potatoes and a salad. Then we went over to one of the bars around the corner and had a few beers before she had to bring me home at 11:30.

Yesterday I pretty much did nothing all day and went to work at night. Oh, I did go to K’s house and watch Repo after I got out of work. I didn’t end up getting home until after 2am. I ended up bringing home 3 almost new pairs of sneakers that her brother left behind when he went to NC. I was so suprised that they fit me lol.

I did update lots of my plugins on various sites and Jenn helped me with my CSS for my new layout (coming soon). It drives me nuts that there is an error somewhere in my database that makes me not be able to update any of my plugins automatically on this site. My other 2 sites I have no problems with at all.

Today I stayed in bed until noon or so then went to my Grandma’s house. It is always interesting taking the bus there since she lives on the edge of the ghetto and the bus route goes through thet ghetto. We hung out, read the newspaper and clipped coupons until BD dropped Kidlet off. Then we had bacon hamburgers and macaroni and cheese for dinner with these very wierd lemon bars that we baked. We also watched the first half of the Super Bowl and the half time show. We are such dorks that we even had the 3D glasses for the 3 special commercials.

After that we came home and Kidlet went to bed and I moved my desk and the loveseat around and have been on the net ever since.

I guess I am going to browse some sites and see what everyone else is up to.
