Things that I have been thinking about:
1) Transferring Kidlet out of the public school district.
I have had nothing but, problems with the district (late bus pass, late schedule, no contact with placement, clueless parent engagement office, and huge budget cuts to an art school decimating Kidlet’s major)and now nothing but, problems with the school itself (Math teacher giving a test that the whole class failed earning them an F in the class when they couldn’t pass the test because the teacher assumed what was taught last year and was wrong, then the academic counselor not calling me back after I left a message on Wednesday morning.)
2) Why do colleges make it hard for people who apply early to get everything done in a timely manor?
I already have my application, high school transcript, GED transcript & immunization records in. My FAFSA was filled out and I sent in verification documents to the school & I was approved for the TAP grant. Now, I just gave to take my placement test and they they can approve or deny my application. BUT, they aren’t testing until mid-October which is jsut slowing up everyone that had thier applications in teh first week that they were accepting them.
3) How did my former employee who is dumber than a box of rocks land a shift manager position?
I was in retail for 10 years and management for almost 8 of those and yet I still can’t find a management job and I keep getting turned down for retail sales positions because I am overqualified. WTF?
4) My Mom’s boyfriend is annoying as fuck.
I try to watch things on my netbook while wearing head phones at night and yet, he insists on talking to me so that I have to pause my show and take off the head phones. When Kidlet is trying to do homework assignments that is when he choses to harass her thinking that it is funny but, it’s just distracting. He is always up in everyone else’s buisness.
That is all …. for now.
You can come live here. Work with me making $10.00 an hour and sit around talking. Our schools aren’t perfect but they get people in to college every day and they have got better since even I went.
Come to KY, it will save your life!!! <3 <3 <3
