It’s funny how when we were teenagers we just couldn’t wait to be adults and now that we are adults we realize how easy we really had things. Now, we worry about our jobs, money, paying bills, children and relationships.

As a teenager I hung out with my little group of friends daily, running around and being up to no good without really getting into too much trouble. We would stay up all night hanging out or talking on the phone and really have nothing more serious than who is dating who to worry about.

We always thought that our group of friends would stand the test of time. But, in reality parts of it hasn’t. Some of us have forged strong bonds while others just drifted off onto the wrong paths or just kind of disappeared.

The relationship that I have with my best friends has withstood the test of time, distance, love, pain, happiness, and even war. I know that no matter what they are there for me and I am always there for them.

So much of who we are as adults is wrapped up in each other and our experiences together. With life the way it is the time we get to spend together is very little but, when we do come together it’s as though no time was ever lost … the pieces of the whole are put together again. Sometimes we are the best pieces of each other. We would be lost without each other.

I feel so lucky to have found you guys and to have you in my life for so long. Thank you … for everything.
